This week, have a picnic, plant a garden, or have a dance party with the open-ended play in Wonder Woollies Play World. Plus, help a robot build a circus to bring cheer to a sad inventor in Tin Circus.

Wonder Woollies Play World
by Fuzzy House
Wonder Woollies is an open-ended dollhouse-style app featuring plush animals and beautiful artwork. Kids play in a village where they can enter houses, move and interact with characters, plant gardens, set up picnics, and engage in imaginative play. There is also a day/night button where characters can be put to bed. Unlike similar apps, Wonder Woollies includes keys that unlock videos and mini-games, such as creating plant arrangements. Kids can try a small section of the world for free, with an in-app purchase to unlock the full experience. There is a lot to see and do in the app, and it is a great addition to the genre.
Tin Circus
by Heavy Bucket Books
Tin Circus is a storybook app with professional-looking artwork and interactive elements. The story follows an inventor who dreams of the circus and whose sadness brings rain to the whole village, and a plucky little robot who will try to bring the circus to him. The story is narrated well, but there is no word-highlighting. Each page contains interactive elements and animations, such as photos to look at, or birds that fly, or even a light-bulb that lights the scene differently. Tin Circus is a quality app and worth a look for those wanting an addition to storytime.
