Hand Wash Squad
by Tipitap

How do you wash your hands? OK, now how should you really wash your hands? Hand Wash Squad is a surprisingly fun, kid-friendly, look at washing hands and sanitizing surfaces. You drag soap (or other cleaning materials) across cartoon hands to remove the germs – a quick swipe won’t do, you have to scrub a bit. Just when you think you are done, you discover more germs between the fingers, and then more germs under the nails, and, well, you get the idea. The game uses a dragging and symbol tracing mechanic that works well, but most importantly, it really makes you think about how you wash your hands.

Evolution Board Game
by North Star Games LLC

An adaptation of a physical board game, Evolution, is a game for older kids (12+) that has you building and adapting species to survive in different ecosystems. You collect cards with different traits such as cooperative (share food) or hard shell (protect from predators) and compete for food with the species from other players. There are a lot of traits and a lot of strategy to the game, and it does capture the essence of the evolution of a species. The board game was even used in the evolutionary biology department at the University of Oxford. You can try quite a bit of the game for free, and the in-app purchase for unlocking the full game is currently on sale.
