Skyscrapers lets kids play with and learn about large buildings. Kids can add floors to their buildings, making them taller and taller, customize the look and then go deeper into the workings of the building. Will the foundation be in bedrock or soil and what effect does that have on the building? How does the building behave in a lightning storm or earthquake? Kids can also explore the plumbing (and may have too much fun watching appropriately coloured dots moving through the pipes), sprinkler system, and elevators. MaskerAid has a simple, single function: to draw emojis over faces in photos. This can be done for fun, but it can also be done for privacy purposes by masking the faces of people that don’t want to appear or be tagged on social media platforms. The app works quickly and automatically. You select a photo and it detects where the faces are and places emojis over them. You can then adjust the positioning and size of the emojis or remove them.
