Thinkrolls Play & Code
by Avokiddo Ltd

Thinkrolls Play & Code is a physics-based puzzle game, where kids can not only play the included levels, but create their own. The included levels are side-scrolling platform style games where kids move their thinkroll character collecting keys, munching on biscuits and solving physics based logic puzzles to progress. The best feature of the app is the level designer where kids can create their own puzzles by dragging and dropping walls, creatures, and special features onto a grid. They can then play and tweak their levels. These levels aren’t as elaborate as the arcade mode, but allow for a lot of creativity and experimentation. Kids can dress up their thinkroll in many different costumes, and several matching and memory games are also included. A portion of the content is available for free, with the rest being unlocked with a monthly or yearly subscription. Avokiddo makes quality apps, and this is no exception, and worth a look for the kid that likes to create their own games.

How do Animals Work?
by Learny Land

How do Animals Work is a science app that explores the anatomies of the animals that live in the Amazon rainforest all fully animated. Seven animals are included, a spider monkey, jaguar, river dolphin, plus frogs, eels, birds and snakes. Each animal is animated in its environment, includes text and images, and remarkably also including skeletal, musculature, nervous system, circulatory system, digestive system and respiratory system animations. Major features are labeled, and the digestive system animation allows kids to feed the animal things they eat. There is a quiz mode where kids can attempt to remember where the labels go, and an animation that shows how the baby animals gestate and are born. If that wasn’t enough, there is also a special animation for each animal that shows off their special abilities, such as the night vision of a jaguar, or the sonar of a dolphin. The images and animations are top quality, and there is a remarkable amount of learning in this wonderful app.
