Crash Course — Watch and Study
by Complexly LLC
You may be familiar with Crash Course on YouTube. They offer educational videos that cover a wide variety of topics in a humorous and engaging way. There are many topics on their channel, but currently only four topics available in the app: chemistry, organic chemistry, European history, and anatomy with the promise of more to come soon. The app goes beyond the videos by adding many multiple choice quizzes to go with each topic which helps reinforce the concepts. All content is free, with optional in-app purchases used to tip the creators if you wish, and the app is worth a look for older kids, and even adults.
Here Kitty!
by Impending, Inc.
Play hide and seek with your iPhone. You activate the app by flipping the phone upside down and hiding it somewhere, then the seeker calls out “Here Kitty” and the phone responds by meowing, and knows that you found it when you pick up the phone again. It’s cute and it works remarkably well (although with phones and not iPads), but you have to be comfortable with hiding your phone and hopefully being able to find it again.

Chrome Music Lab
Interesting site where you can play with music and musical concepts, although I do wish it offered better explanations of the concepts.
