The Lighthouse – Mindfulness

The Lighthouse explores emotions, self, and mindfulness. “Who am I?” shows a series of canvases each asking a question about yourself that can be answered with drawings, stickers, text, and recordings. The emotions section lists nine emotions, each coming with descriptions, animations, activities, and a place to write. Mindfulness encourages kids to take a moment, understand what they are feeling and to breathe. Finally, there is a section of geometric designs that can be coloured in. The Lighthouse brings all of the quality Learny Land is known for and is a quality app for exploring emotion.
Comic Life 3

For older kids, Comic Life is a full-fledged editor for creating scrapbook-like comics. Kids can add photos, images, comic book style word balloons, and boxes, plus page designs, and comic sound effect stickers. Kids can even write out a script before, after, or during the creation of their story and drag elements from the script onto the page. Completed comics can be printed, or turned into a PDF and shared. It even comes with multitasking support on the iPad. Comic Life lets kids journal their summer or just create fun stories.
Shoonya Kids Updated
Shoonya Kids is a language learning app for kids 10 and under, that has been updated to version 5, featuring “a new rewards center to help keep kids engaged.” The app comes with a 7-day free trial and then requires a subscription. Grow With Me
Grow With Me is an app for connecting parents, caregivers, and therapists of special needs kids to find playdates and social opportunists. It also allows businesses, universities, and other institutions to offer events. The app is rolling out across the United States with plans to add more events over the summer.
