‘Fiete World,’ a digital playground full of characters, vehicles, animals and props kids can play with, has added a new island. Visit the USA which includes a school, theme park, movie studio, shipyard and more. Kids can even make mini movies through the built in screen and voice recording. We’ve featured this app before, the quality and content are still very good, and it’s great to see it getting updates.
A Distant Journey

‘A Distant Journey’ is a storybook app on the surface about Elephant and his journey, but with hints of a deeper meaning. Rather than simulating pages, the story scrolls, pans and zooms with beautiful graphics and animations. ‘A Distant Journey’ doesn’t really spell out the motivations of it’s characters or why things happen, like why Elephant is going on this journey, but gives enough clues and room for interpretation, and perhaps offers a chance for discussion between parents and children during and after the story.
