Happy App Friday,
Get up and get moving with fun exercise routines from “The Kids Coach,” then continue moving and become part of the story in augmented reality with “Wonderscope.” Plus, why and how kids can help to keep their online data safe.

The Kids Coach
by Jamro Group Pty Ltd.
The Kids Coach gets kids moving with a series of fitness videos. The videos are sorted and targeted at different age categories from preschool to teenager, and go from more playful videos for little kids (helping Santa deliver presents) to more focussed ones for older kids (developing your core). Each is set against a different themed backdrop and are short enough to stop kids from losing interest part way through. The videos are ad-free and can be downloaded to use offline. The app is subscription based with a two week free trial.
Wonderscope
by Within Unlimited, Inc.
Wonderscope tells interactive stories using augmented reality (AR). Kids view the story through their device’s screen and camera in three dimensions and become a character in the story. The app presents them with lines to say using voice recognition (or just wait a second and tap on the screen to continue without talking) and actions to perform at appropriate times during the story (tapping on the screen). The free story is science focussed and tells the tale of particles in a nebulae becoming a star. The app is very high quality, with one story free and additional stories available for purchase.
Why K–12 Students Need to Be Taught to Guard Their Data Online
We teach kids to be safe in person, and we should also teach them to be safe online.
