Women Who Changed the World features eight notable women, or groups of women, including scientists, astronauts, activists, artists and aviators. Each woman’s real-life story is presented in an interactive children’s book format where kids can advance the story by answering questions or moving things on the screen. The quality of the app is excellent, and is worth owning.

Rings is a classic puzzle app, where you slide rings along a path to their associated coloured peg. Naturally, the puzzles are simple at first, but quickly get more difficult as more rings and more convoluted paths are added. There are only 32 puzzles, but the later ones may take a while to solve. Rings takes a simple concept and runs with it, reminiscent of the earlier days of the app store, and best of all doesn’t ask you to buy gems or watch ads.
