Welcome to App Friday, our weekly link exchange of family-friendly apps. I lectured enough last week, so let’s get right down to business. In case you haven’t heard, Apple released a new version of their mobile operating system this week: iOS 6. For information, check the settings on your iDevice, or see the Apple web page for features: http://www.apple.com/ios/. Many developers are in the process of updating their apps to work on iOS 6 at this very moment. Meanwhile, here are the kid-friendly apps featured this Friday Sept. 21st:
==> Click Here to View All Apps <==
Once you are viewing the apps, click on the icons to read the app store description. Please note that some apps have purchasing embedded within the app, or “In App Purchase”. I urge you to understand these features before making your app available in the home or classroom. Most deals revert back to regular pricing by 8pm US Pacific Time on Friday, unless extended by the developer. If you like an app, please consider leaving a review.
Live Parties on Facebook
The Kids’ App Community joins together every week to share free deals and app news. Join us on Facebook at 10:00 am Paris and 10:00am San Francisco time for the parties. On September 21st, Kristin of appp media and Valerie of Les Trois Elles will host our Global Kick Off. Next, Carolina of Kindertown will host from the USA. To attend, visit App Friday on Facebook, and view “Post By Others” to see the conversation.
Contests and Giveaways
Welcome to the ReviewForDev promo code giveaway service. Contests will be running throughout the day. When the countdown timer runs out, a handful of codes will be available to be redeemed. Once those are redeemed, another contest will be posted, until the contests are over for the day. So check back here on the Moms With Apps blog to find out what’s coming next!
New AppyMall Store: Try Before You Buy
Sometimes people need a glimpse of how the app works before they commit to the purchase. Siva’s latest “Try Before You Buy” store highlights apps that have LITE or free versions associated with their paid apps. He will be populating apps throughout the week, but here is a sneak peek: http://www.appymall.com/appystore/Try-Before-You-Buy.
Got news? List it here. Developers who would like to participate in App Friday on an impromptu basis are encouraged to list their apps in the Link Exchange below. Blog visitors will notice the list can grow up to 100 apps throughout the day. Scan it for relevant titles or compelling deals. To participate, please include the app name in the Link Title, your email, and a URL.
